Welcome to the 2014-15 school year! We have had wonderful start at Mt. Eaton Elementary and I want to thank all of the students, parents, and staff for working together to make this happen. The mission of our school and district remains “a community united in a commitment to learning.” Open communication between home and school, as well as the school and community, is as important as ever to maintain the positive learning experience for your children, our students.
Our dedicated staff continues implement the Common Core standards that have been adopted by the State of Ohio. Our recent Ohio Achievement Assessment scores provide reassuring data that the work the students, teachers, and parents are doing is working. We will continue to provide the most current, research-based instructional program possible, with a focus on the individual needs of students.
Parents and community members are an important part of our positive school culture, and are welcomed and encouraged to join us at Mt. Eaton. Information will be coming home soon regarding PTO and volunteering opportunities at the school. This is a great way to engage in your child’s learning, along with the special things you do at home.
Mt. Eaton’s students, staff, parents, and community have much to be proud of! I look forward to continued success and a great year for all!
